Established in 2002 at the now legendary
Captain Toms studios in Aberdeen, Scotland, Fat Hippy Records is a small independent record label that predominantly works with grass roots level bands and musicians from the North East of Scotland.
Over the last 20 odd years we have worked with hundreds of artists and helped them get their music out to the world. We’ve been fortunate enough to experience success working with artists like Driveblind, The Xcerts, Cold Years and many others in the early parts of their careers.
After all this time we’re not 100% sure we can remember why we started doing it or what the original objective was… But we still love helping talented upcoming artists from our area get established and working with young acts like David Angus and The Sun Day reminds it’s all worth while!
